Final Activity

We had to create an strategy for developing oral skills. It was interesting because all of my partners created their strategies using different point of views. My strategy was to make the students to create an story according to the pictures showed on the slides I presented. We must keep in mind that when we make an strategy, we have to know in which level it will be applied, what skills is going to be developed, their theories, how to make the procedures, which resources are we going to use, etc.

Oral expression was a very interactive subject in which we practiced a lot, and I enjoyed so much with our presentations.

Extemporaneous Speech

This week we learnt how to make an Extemporaneous Speech. This class was very good and enjoyable for me. I liked Sara's topic because she talked about the parts of a guitar, it was a very interesting topic. Then, I talked about my favorite videogame (Guitar Hero) and it was not difficult for us to make an extemporaneous speech. We didn't need to read, we only needed some pictures to make a good presentation about our own topic. In other words, an extemporaneous speech is natural and spontaneous; but we always need to practice before the presentation.

Manuscript & impromptu speech.

We made an activity called "Manuscript Speech". We had to read a composition to the audience. This topic was very interesting because I learnt about how to make a discourse correctly and how to make the audience feel interested in the topic I read. This week we made another activity called "Impromptu Speech". The teacher had some paper cut and each of us had to select one. I chose "What animal I would like to be and why?" and I answered rapidly, using introduction, body and conclusion, because we had to make a good answer but in a very short time.

Selling a product.

In this topic, we learnt the way we have to convince somebody and the way we have to express our ideas. Today, we created a product and we made a publicity, trying to get the interest of the audience. My partners created presentations of power point showing us their products and telling us all description possible and positive, to motivate us to "buy" the product.

I didn't made a presentation but I brought a product and I improvised about my super camera. I hope you enjoy about my presentation... It was simple, but something is better than nothing.

I liked Ana's presentation because her product was very original and she made the power point presentation and she brought the product to the classroom too. All the presentations were nice and I enjoyed a lot in the classroom.

This is my first blog entry and It was my first time going to the classroom too, because I wasn't available, but I know this subject is easy to understand and it will help me to learn more about the language and how to innovate and get more knowledge in English.
